We are delighted to be one of 23 projects receiving funding from the Self Management Fund, administered by Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland
The Self Management Fund aims to empower people living with long-term conditions, disabled people and unpaid carers to take greater control of their health, care and wellbeing.
This round of the fund has seen £2.2 million of Scottish Government funding awarded to 23 projects across Scotland – and we're incredibly proud that SMILE Children's Charity is one of them.
Wendy Meek CEO commented "The funding will enable us to deliver our SMILE Early Support & Self-Management Programme, providing early intervention support for parents and carers whose child has recently been diagnosed with a disability, complex need or serious illness. Through free holistic therapies and self-management guidance, we will help families build resilience, reduce stress and isolation, and develop the confidence to navigate their caring journey before they reach crisis point."
