Founder and CEO of SMILE Children’s Charity - a Scottish charity supporting families with children or young people with disabilities or serious illness across Scotland. SMILE Children’s Charity is a new charity gaining our OSCR registration in February 2024. The charity has been set up in memory of my son Justin who sadly passed away aged 10 after a long battle with disability and illness but always with a SMILE on his face. 

Having studied primary education at Jordanhill I was initially employed by South Lanarkshire Council. I then became the owner and Manager of Oakmere Children’s Nursery before taking on a trainer/assessor role for One Plus in Glasgow. I have 30+ years of experience of working with children and young people. I also undertook a voluntary role for SWAN UK Charity who are part of Genetic Alliance becoming their parent advisor for Scotland.
