Sophie Meek

With a background in teaching, Sophie brings a wealth of experience to the SMILE Children’s Charity Board. Holding an Honours Degree in History with Professional Education, she has spent many years supporting children and young people with additional support needs. Sophie is passionate about using her skills in financial oversight, organisation, and wellbeing to help ensure SMILE’s success.

As Treasurer, Sophie is responsible for managing the charity’s financial governance, budgeting, and reporting, making sure everything is handled with care and accountability. Her professional expertise, combined with her own experience as a carer, ensures that SMILE’s services remain family-centred, education-aware, and financially sustainable.

When she's not working, Sophie loves spending time with her family and her dog Cali the Cocker Spaniel.
